Vaginal infections

So recently I’ve been itching a lot in my vaginal area. I’ve already Been to the doctor a year ago and have Been treated for a yeast infection but i was not given a pelvic exam. A few months ago in April i noticed that the yeast infection has came back again. I’ve just recently had my period and it went away after it came on. I’m not sure is it because of what I’m eating and drinking or a low immune system or ph balance. What do you all think ? Any suggestions?
