When to see RE?

We have been trying since March 2017 and have had 2 early miscarriages. OB ran a bunch of tests and everything came back normal. I am currently on my ninth cycle of trying since the second miscarriage. My question is, when should I see a RE? A year of full trying after 2nd mc? Or go now? I just don’t want to waste the money (insurance doesn’t cover any fertility testing or treatment so it would be all out of pocket) or time (closest RE is about 2 hours away) if they tell me to keep trying... anyone have any advice or similar experiences?
