What is your personal experience about how long after your baby dropped did you give birth?

My baby dropped at around 28 weeks. I'm a first time mom, but that was still extremely early. I gave birth a couple hours before my due date so he was creating quite a bit of discomfort for quite a while!

None of mine dropped till I was in active labor and 30-45 min away from pushing.  So it doesn't seem to make a difference to me.
