Birth control recommendations?

Looking for birth control with little or no side effects. Mom of two and may want another in 3-5 years. What do you use? What do you hate?

Answer

I use Microgynon and I find it to be very good. However, just because it works well for someone, it doesn’t mean it’ll work as well for another so it might not be right for you. I personally think the contraceptive pill is the easiest and most reliable form of contraception. Make sure you let your doctor know if you’re having any side effects from the one(s) they trial you on though if you do go for it. A lot of people don’t seem to let their doctor know it’s giving them side effects not realising that they’re probably on one that doesn’t suit them that well and that they should let their doctor know so they can change the prescription and try them on something else. it can be a bit trial and error before the best type/dose is found but once it is, it should be side effect free and convenient. It’s probably not suitable for people with certain heart problems though but your doctor should check all of that and let you know what’s going to be best for you if you choose to trial it. :) x

I took Try-linyah which is a 3 week pill pack. Had no problems at all👌
