Cannot get my 6 month old to sleep without my boob in his mouth!!!

So recently my 6 month old Sebastian will not sleep unless he has my boob in his mouth. It doesnt matter it it is for a nap or to go to sleep at night, if I am home , he will cry till he gets the boob!! When he is with his dad or my mom, he will sleep fine 😭 any tips to get him to sleep on his own or is this just a phase ??? I just can’t let him cry knowing he just wants me but its hard to be right next to him every time he has to go down for bed.
