My babe says mama and dada. But that's it? is he behind on language? What is your LO saying now?

He says dada to almost everything. He will say mama but doesn’t call me mama. I keep trying to get him to say something but he just says da lol

Our son says a lot of words, but some of them I only know because of his association of the word with an object or action. He says “Dada” and knows exactly who Dada is when he says it. He has said “mama” a few times but not very often. He says “nana” and know who nana is. He also says “uh oh”, but it’s “uh uh”. He also says “vacuum” but it’s definitely vacuum in his own language. He also says “outside” but it more comes out as “out-s”. He tries to say “avocado” but it comes out “ah, ah, ah,ah”. I wouldn’t be worried by how much you’re baby is saying because they could be saying more than you think and you just don’t understand it haha.

My baby girl says dada...mama on occasion and woo woo 😂 we think she's imitating the dog when she says that because even if she sees a picture of a dog she starts saying woo woo 🙈😂

My daughter says mommom, dada, baba, bye, hi, uh oh, cheese, pop pop (for Papaw), and nanaw (my Mamaw). They all learn differently so I think he’s fine 😊

My son babbles constantly but I can barely understand him 🤷🏽‍♀️ 
He KNOWS words because he can point appropriately when you ask him where certain objects (or people or pets) are... but as far as talking he only says “ball” and “up.” Then everything else is ‘dada.’

Sometimes she says “Fa Fa Fa” which is hilarious because it sounds like she’s saying fuck. 😂

Mine says dada, dog, car, ball, and uh-oh. He doesn’t get it right on the first try usually and doesn’t always say the word perfectly, but he’s trying.
