Newborn allergies?

Question

Any ladies with cat or dog allergies, or their SO have them and currently pregnant? My SO is allergic to cats and really concerned about our newborn having them as well. 
I will be living with my parents while he’s still deployed and they have a cat.

I’m highly allergic to cats (and dogs... and most plants) I don’t know the answer, but I do wonder the same thing.

I’m allergic to cats... but I have 3. My symptoms aren’t crazy deadly, I just get itchy/sneezy if I’m brushing them for too long. Anyway, allergies are something that you can work with, and your baby may not even develop them because it’s not necessarily like if you have it then your kids WILL have it. There is a chance, like with anything. Taking probiotics and having acupuncture has helped improve my immunity and I’ve actually gotten rid of my seasonal allergies completely. So there are ways to help reduce the symptoms, and prenatal probiotics can help make your baby’s immune system strong too!
