his ex who is always around

My boyfriend's ex still bonds with his family, like getting invited to weddings and big events. She also likes to comment and like photos of his family. I sometimes open up to my bf and he assures me that i should not worry because he doesn't bond with her and just keeps everything civil with the ex. I sometimes get worried that i might not be able to enter his family if the ex is still lingering around. Should i be worried? They were together for 4yrs and broke up for a year before I became a part of his life. We are now already 2yrs and in an LDR.
