Forgot a pill- did I follow up right?!

Question

Today was the 8th day of taking pills on this cycle. I was very late taking this morning's pill and took both today and tomorrow's pill at the same time this afternoon. Was that the correct move?? I want to be sure because I stupidly had unprotected sex during my off week.

You should have just taken todays pill as soon as you remembered. Look at the pamphlet that comes with your pills, it tells you what you should do. I've never heard of a pill telling you to take the one that's late and the next days pill. 
If you had missed todays pill completely and remembered tomorrow that you didnt take it, then you would take both.
