I have another appt with my OB on the 30th, and plan on talking a little bit more in depth about it at that point.. however.. maybe some of you could shed some light on this for me. This will be my third (and last) csection. It’s been planned for them to tie my tubes during the surgery, since I’ll be open anyway. With my first two kids I had never even heard of a gentle csection, and the first time I saw them was after they were cleaned off. I’ve never seen my children directly after birth, no direct skin on skin, and it’s just something that has always bothered me. Is there a higher risk of infection if they were to do a gentle csection and allow me to do skin on skin for even just a minute? I know it will break the barrier that they put up during the surgery, but does it really cause any added risk to the mom? How were your experiences with a gentle cesarean?
