Newborn hates the car seat 😭

There’s nothing that seems to be hurting him but all he does is cry when he’s in the car seat. He sounds so angry and I don’t know what’s wrong. It’s not too tight and I don’t see anything digging into him. He’s just over 3 weeks old. On Friday we had an outing and he didn’t cry at all but every other time he cries. Same with walks in the travel system. Most babies I’ve known have loved their car seats. Has anyone else had this problem? What worked for you?
