Recommendations on birth control?

I just recently got off microgestin fe 1.5/30.
I don’t know why I was on the higher dose but I hated it. I felt very depressed, mood swings and it didn’t help my period regulate. Do you have any suggestions for birth control. (Not open to arm implant or depo)

When I started my pill I had weight gain mood swings but after 2 months I think my body adjusted to the hormones bc the side affects went away and I had no problems, I am not the best at remembering to pick up my birth control so I am getting an iud

i also was on microgestin and didn’t love it! try another pill? it took me three pills to be able to find one i really love. it’s a trial and error process.

Nurvaring. It’s easier to use than the pill and still works really well. I love it. It’s great for my period cramps (I get truly horrible ones) and I don’t have any side effects at all.
