So my husband and I are really looking into the envelope system for getting debt free, and I was wondering what you think is a good amount to spend on food for two people. We have about 30,000 in debt aside from our mortgage. While combing through our finances, I’m finding that the # 1 issue for us each month is that we eat out waaay way too much. I think I counted $1,000 in eating out expenses one month. Yeah. I know there is no excuse, but we both work overnight and it’s so easy just to hop in the car and go somewhere. Do you think $200 a month is too drastic of a change?
