No baby shower?

My first baby shower for my daughter was a complete disaster! I'm thinking about not having a baby shower for baby #2. Does anyone have any alternative ideas?

I believe showers are only meant for the first baby.

You could do a diaper party instead. Everyone brings packages of diapers or wipes instead of gifts and clothes and then you can play games or just socialize with snacky foods for everyone to munch on!

I'm not going to have a babyshower this time.. we had our last baby almost 2 years ago so we have almost everything we need.. so we are just going to have a family dinner in celebration of the new baby and they can decide if they want to bring a gift or not.. I might make a registry only because everyone is already asking what I need.. but I seriously only need an infant carseat and diapers.. unless its a boy then he will need clothes lol

We did a "sprinkle" for my friend's second baby. She was having a girl, first was a boy, so we did want to get her some cute gifts. We just went to dinner, brought some fun desserts, and had her open her gifts there. There were 8 of us celebrating and we had a lot of fun!

I am not having a shower.  First baby and I just do not want a shower.  I just honestly don't want to deal with it all.  I plan on telling people if they want to get something for the baby they can bring it to the house or bring it to work.  Of course thank you notes will still be given.
