On death and dying

Michelle

This might sound stupid, and I'm almost hesitant to post it, but I'd love others' thoughts. My son is almost two and just staying to get into movies. I'm on maternity leave with a newborn, so he's watching more than normal (feel free to judge, I'm just surviving at this point 😂). When I was little, I'd watch Disney movies and get really upset any time an animal died. They die a lot in Disney movies... This continued even now, I hate watching death, it just hurts my heart. I started thinking about what he's being exposed to. Obviously, it's a part of life and he may still be too young to grasp what is happening. But how do you feel about exposing your child to death at such an early age? Of course, we want to protect our children from "the real world," but it's also important to moderate their access to it, and teach them about these things. It's almost ridiculousl I'm posting this because of Tarzan 😂 but I'd love to hear others' input!
