Can't wait! Also - questions!

The dreaded wait time for your first appointment, so you can hear that little heartbeat. Anyone else here with Hashimoto's/Hypothyroid? Did you have to up your dosage? So many questions! Luckily I have an appointment today for confirmation and discussion!

I have it. it took us 4 cycles to get pregnant with baby #1, and during the pregnancy they changed my dose of levothyroxine several times. my docs were on top of it and tested my levels often. I had to advocate for myself sometimes and insisted on additional blood work when I felt like I needed it. good luck to you!

I have hashimoto's hypothyroidism too. I started taking thyroid meds in January and every 8 weeks they have raised my prescription. We just recently started TTC, and I'm worried about the thyroid issues affecting the baby, if I were to get pregnant. Keep me updated with what you find out. I have an apt in August for thyroid and preconception visit, so I'll let you know what the doctor says.

As long as they keep your meds at a higher dose during pregnancy most women with a thyroid condition go on to have healthy pregnancies. You will just be watched closer than women without the problem.

I have hypothyroidism was it hard for you to get pregnant? My husband and I have been trying for 8 months now and I have a thyroid appointment tomorrow to get it all checked out to see why I haven’t gotten. Pregnant yet. Any feedback would be lovely and congrats on your baby!!!

We got pregnant on our first try, for all 3 babes. 😔 I'm sorry. I wish I was more help. This is my only pregnancy with thyroid problems though. But my levels are good, so that could be a big factor.

I have hypothyroidism and got pregnant twice. One miscarriage and one perfectly healthy one year old. My dosage never changed.

I do have hypothyroidism and they had to increase my dose very soon after getting pregnant. My next appointment will tell if it worked or not.

I found out a week after having my thyroid removed I was pregnant. So far they e upped my dosages twice from 25-100 and will probably keep increasing it until it’s at the right level. That’s the only difference I’ve had with this pregnancy than my other two
