pregnant during nursing school????!?

Question

Have any of you or do any of you know of someone that has gotten pregnant during nursing school?? I currently work as a CNA & want to start nursing school to become a RN but i also want to start a family & I am torn because I don’t know how to go about with it. Any stories are appreciated!

I didn’t go to nursing school, but I’m a full time teacher and I’m finishing my master’s degree right now. I will be done with my degree next month and I am due in October. Being pregnant, working full time, and going to school full time was not easy. I was exhausted all the time and really wasn’t able to give it my all in school. I’m very happy that I’ll be done with my degree before the baby comes, because I don’t think I could do it otherwise. 
That being said, I am happy that we decided to start our family when we did. I’ve wanted to be a mom my whole life, and I feel like if you wait until the “right” time, you’ll always be waiting. You’re never going to have the right amount of money saved or a time when your career isn’t stressful. Just do whatever seems right for you and your family.

I would highly recommend finishing school first. Things get so much harder after you have a baby. I restart school next month to finish my business degree and I have a 7 month old. I have no idea how I’m going to do it. Plus my husband is in school too. I wish we would have finished school before we started our family.

I'd wait, I'm not in school but I have a baby and it's not easy! The first year is so busy with them between finding a good sleep schedule feeding schedule the different changes they go thru and everything in between plus finding the time in the week for there doctor appts, also being in school and a baby makes it harder to work and babies are expensive as hell I would say I spend about 300 a month on baby stuff and things always pop up, if I were in school I don't think I could do it! When I found it I was pregnant I made the choice to have a family first and start school when they start school because I am so young and it would be much easier. I think it's up to you but while it's doable one always suffers. My boyfriend did two years and stopped and got a job because it was just going to be more realistic for us we have a nice house and we don't go without but we are On a tight budget and arnt doing the jobs we love yet, but I get to be a young Mom I get to stay home with him and I don't regret it at all, school will always be there

I was supposed to start the RN program that I worked my ass off to get into, on July 2nd....I found out July 1st that i was unexpectedly pregnant. As bad as I want to be a mom, I really wanted to begin my nursing career journey. According to my academic advisor, it wouldn’t have been the best idea to start, since when I have my baby, I would have been in my clinical rotation portion of my program. GO TO SCHOOL!!!! You can ALWAYS be a mom when you complete your program and are able to better financially provide with that nice pay increase from CNA to RN 😉 Good luck with whatever you decide!!
