Yeast infection
I have a vaginal yeast infection that is not going away with home remedies, and I now have some pain in my breast when the baby is nursing.
I’m concerned that the yeast infection is spreading to the baby’s mouth, so I contacted our GP for a prescription for both of us.
He prescribed a nystatin oral suspension for both of us, which I’m sure is correct for the baby, but I’m wondering if anyone else has used this for a vaginal yeast infection before? Was is successful?
Some of what I’m reading says it’s not a common treatment for a vaginal yeast infection. I want to nip this is the bud before it gets bad, but I want to make sure that this is the right way to treat it.
Thanks in advance!
