Sex and IUDs
I recently switched from the Skyla IUD to the Mirena. I wasn’t sexually active for a year after I had my Skyla. Now I have a boyfriend, and it’s been a week and a half since I got the Mirena put in. When we have sex he can feel the strings poke him. My doctor told me it would take a few days for them to soften up, but my boyfriend can still feel them. Should I have them shortened or give it more time for them to soften?
