My daughter is 10 weeks now. While we were in the hospital I had to fill out a form for her social security card, and for Iowa it states you should receive a new social between 2 & 4 weeks. What do I do? Do I call the hospital? The social security office said I have to fill out a new application and bring it in, in person, because I need to provide proof of age (which I have nothing of, no birth certificate or hospital record of birth) and my identity information. plus I work full time until 5pm and every SS office closes at 4... ughhh I literally can't stand this kinda crap!
