Has he seen a urologist yet? I would pause and see a urologist first. My husbands issue (separate from this) was found by the urologist and were thankful to know why his sperm count is low now. Just saying....exhaust all avenues first!

My husband’s sperm count was rapidly decreasing. We did 3 iuis and the first one his post wash count was 7 million, second was 3 million, and the last was 0.5 million. His urologist basically told us to freeze bank sperm if we wanted to have kids. But he said there were these supplements we could try that worked for another patient. We tried them and now he has normal counts again! 
We still moved on to IVF, but his counts have been good since then! We also switched to a gluten free diet. 
The supplements are called “Conception XR “. There’s two versions, we did the one with motility support because that was also an issue for us.

I'm so sorry, this is so heartbreaking xx my husband has a varicocele and we've been trying for 7months with no success. His doctor will refer him to a urologist if we are not pregnant by September. I always have these doubts and fears about if he has no sperm too, and I've wondered what I'd do it that were the case.
I think you and your husband should cry together and let out your feelings. Tell him that is both of your problem, not his. He needs to feel like this is not his fault, and needs reassurance that this does not make you want to be with him any less. 
Secondly, don't lose hope. There's stories I've read here, where people were told they had no chance, yet still ended up with their baby. Get a second opinion (but before you do, make your husband go on supplements - I'm not sure what the best ones are, but research online). See if this affects his count. I hope it does.
If not, there are other options, and one way or another you WILL get a baby. If it isn't a biological baby, there's so many blessings in raising a child that's already in the world and needs love. Who knows, that may be your calling. Whatever happens, I wish you all the best. Chin up, things will work themselves out, and they will get better xx

We had the same issue. My hubby was diagnosed with Klinefelter's syndrome which is a genetic anomaly (he was born with it). We used a donor and have an amazing 15 month old boy to show for it! Don't give up! 🙏

my husband has no sperm either.  We did IUI with donor sperm to get our precious daughter and are now TTC another baby with the same donor.  There is a grieving process but we'd never change our decision.  We couldn't imagine our lives without our daughter and are so thankful for her donor.  I know it's hard to even comprehend right now but there is a light at the end of the tunnel.  We're extremely thankful to have had the option of using a sperm donor.  However, if I were you, I'd definitely get a second opinion.  Hopefully it was a fluke or something can be done to change your husband's prognosis.  Best wishes!

I would see a fertility doctor, we did IVF and conceived the first round. My husbands count was one of the lowest the doctor had ever seen. To top it off we were able to use his sperm. There are options, check them all out! Best of luck!

Did he hold it for a long time? I would definitely ask for a repeat analysis. My aunt said my uncle had literally no sperm, but he was wearing tight underwear and playing a TON of baseball. So his exercise was probably pretty extreme. He had to change a few things about his lifestyle and my aunt got pregnant.

I wish I could be more positive for you!! I say do a second test maybe 1 IUI and then move to donor/IVF, I’m not sure what your resources are (age, funds, or patience), but for me I’d move quickly for the next level. I how you get your bundle of love soon 💓

He will need further testing to see if he has a blockage.  They might put him on medication that could jump start production if it’s a hormonal issue.  There is still more information needed, so try not to panic yet (I know that’s hard).  I’ll be praying for you guys!
