I have a 2.5yo who is currently being identified to be on the ASD spectrum. we thought it was speech delay but the speech therapist has suggested to get him evaluated as he might be on the high functioning side of spectrum. two questions:

1.Do toddlers get help from ABA therapy which possibly takes then off the spectrum eventually?

2. I was told that having a sibling just in general helps an austistic child and can help their development. Is that true? I have also heard that the chances of autism increases if a sibling has autism. I am so stuck in deciding if we want a sibling for him. I want him to have that awesome and trustworthy sibling relationship for life but I am scared if I will fail grow up two kids who might be on the spectrum. Please share your thoughts.
