Should teachers lose thier job for supporting sex offender?

Templeton

A school counselor in a town near me was convicted of sexually assaulting a 14 year old. At her trial, some coworkers testified on her behalf and parents want those teachers who testified to lose thier jobs. It's important to note, those who testified did not say anything about the assault itself but rather were more like character witnesses. Also that it was thier choice to testify, nothing required them to do so.

Do you think the teachers should lose thier jobs? Or be reprimanded in any way? If not, what should be done to assure the parents?
