Pain Medication on Period?

So I have had my period for about 4 years now and when I started getting cramps my mom gave me medicine(Advil) to take whenever I was having bad cramps. But every time I have cramps Idk if they will be really bad and I don’t want to take Advil every time I have cramps and seem like I’m addicted. What should I do?

Advil is not an opiate you can not become addicted

Just take the Advil when you have bad enough cramps that you need it. Just taking Advil during your period doesn’t mean you’re addicted as long as you don’t take over the recommended dose
