4 weeks. Brown spotting. Is it normal?

Friday I found out I was pregnant. Tomorrow I’ll be 4 weeks. Since Friday iv been having brown spotting. More like a tan/light brown. With mild cramping. I’m very worried bc iv had a miscarriage in April. I just wanna know if this is something I shouldn’t be worried about or I should or if this is completely normal?!?! Or have you had brown spotting and it continued to be a healthy pregnancy? Plz comment!!!!

As far as I know, brown spotting is considered "old blood" which happens for whatever reason and is harmless. It's the bright red blood that would cause some alarm.

I've had that with all of my healthy pregnancies. you should check with your Dr with any kind of bleeding tho.

How did this turn out????? I also had a miscarriage and April. I just found out I was pregnant yesterday and I’m also having brown spotting and mild cramps. I’m so worried but preparing myself for the worst...

Could be nothing since brown is “old” blood, but call your doctor and ask for bloodwork.

With my miscarriage in April, I had light tan spotting... it was definitely my first clue something wasn’t right. But everyone is different.

I had a miscarriage and got pregnant the following month. I had brown/dark red blood and went straight to the ER thinking I was having another miscarriage but they did a blood test to check my levels and they were high. My OBGYN told me that everyone is different and some people just spit through out their pregnancy. I would go to your OB and see if they can do blood work to check your levels.. that’s the o KT thing that kept me sane! Lol I now have a beautiful 1 year old!
