I am 40 weeks pregnant today. I had an appt earlier and my doctor checked my cervix, she said I was maybe dilated a fingertip.. that was at 2 pm. Now it’s 9pm and starting around 6-7pm I keep having what feels like lightning crotch and the baby is moving a lot so idk if the baby is just pushing on my cervix/bladder or if I’m possibly having really light contractions? I had the tiniest amount of spotting on the toilet paper the first time i peed when I got home. The pains aren’t necessarily going down into my crotch but it definitely feels like below the belly button by my uterus. I’m a first time mom and don’t wanna sound dumb but am I possibly having contractions or am i just sore from my cervix being checked!?
