My 16 month old split his lip (above his lip) open tonight. The cut seems to only be on the outside and is not very deep. He stopped crying within 30 minutes and is sucking on pacifier and drinking from a sippy so I don't think it hurts too bad anymore. I gave him Tylenol and he is now asleep. I feel horrible and this only adds to my paranoia and anxiety. My husband said it might scar. Have any of you used steri-strips for small cuts? Or have any advice for pain or scarring? I will most likely take him to our peds open office hours in the morning. MOM GUILT going on here.
