1 day period

So at the beginning of the month I thought I was on my period it was very VERY light, then it stopped... so this past weekend I bled like I was on my period. Then stops the next day ; later on the day I had a pad on just in case and nothing was coming... I had unprotected sex with my bf and I thought I would’ve bled but no. Is it normal?
