Safe BC while breastfeeding?

I do plan on doing some research but I'm curious what birth control everyone is using while breastfeeding. I had my 6 week check up today but they were so busy, took me in 30+ minutes late, and I just felt rushed and forgot to discuss the safe options. My husband and I are still deciding how much of an age gap we would like between kids, but definitely atleast a year before ttc again.

Mini pill, or a copper IUD

I’m on the pill, it’s called Camila. It’s totally safe to take while nursing. They recommended this for me since we know we want more kids soonish, but not for at least a year as well. The nurse told me that some of the other options can mess up your cycle and make it more difficult when ttc again.

Copper iud... you don’t have to wait the 10 years to take it out. You can ask to remove it at any time.

There are low hormone options available that won’t affect your supply. They have the mini pill or the IUD

Be careful with the mini pill. I’ve been in 3 different birth groups here on Glow and more than a handful of women end up getting pregnant while combining it with BF in each group. Copper IUD will have no effect on your supply and releases no hormones into your body.
