The drinking laws in Denmark are very different from the ones in the US. In Denmark you can drink any time, but shops can’t sell you beer until you’re 16 and bars can’t serve you until you’re 18. I’ve had sips of alcohol since I was like 7... like tasting my parents wine at dinner and such. I didn’t get drunk till I was 14 (on my blue Monday) and didn’t really get out and partying till I started high school at 15
