If something like a miscarriage is happening (God forbid) I don't see how there's anything anyone could do. It's your body's way of rejecting the baby due to chromosomal abnormalities, or something wrong with its DNA make up.. etc.

You can go but even if you are miscarrying they can’t do anything to stop it or help you. :/ I had a miscarriage in May at 6 weeks and I did not go because I wanted to be in the comfort of my home when I bled like that. I don’t regret it.

Go get it checked out. Bright red bleeding at 5w in my case was a subchorionic hemorrhage.

Its all about what YOU want to do love. If you want to go, then go! The ER accepts everyone, no matter how big or how small the problem is. You never know what’s going on in your body, so if it will make you feel better to KNOW, then absolutely, go!

I would go in if you don't know your blood type. I'm rh negative and if any bleeding in pregnancy I have to get a shot to protect baby

Spotting is ok, especially if it’s pink or brown. If it’s red and would fill up a panty liner, it may be a miscarriage. Like others have said, the ER won’t be able to do anything for it. It’s your choice, but if it was me, I’d rather be more comfortable at home. Be sure to check with your OB or midwife. I hope that it’s just normal spotting though!! Best wishes and prayers to you.

I've had some spotting and I called my OB. She said small amounts of bleeding can be normal but had me go in to check my Hgc levels. I'm waiting on the results now 😖 I wouldn't just head to the ER due to the hassle but I would for sure make a call and hopefully you can at least gain peace of mind. good luck to you!
