I think things happen for a reason, whatever you wanna call it.

This pretty much sums up my feelings on fate.

I don't believe things happen for a reason. I don't see a lot of deus ex machina in real life. I think this is what makes our decisions and every day actions so consequential and important, because those are what shape who we are and who we will be

Nope. We and the environment around us affect our own lives, based off of every little thing we do. To be honest, when people blame bad things that happen on "fate" or "God's will" it pisses me off. That's not what happened, people's choices caused that bad thing to happen, and people need to accept that and learn from it. Contrariwise, when something good happens people should accept that it was their good decisions that allowed it to happen, and continue making good decisions.

No. It’s an actions = consequences world. Too many people blame their inability to take action on bad luck / others claim their unearned privilege is good luck. Either way, I don’t like it.

I just believe everything is cause and effect .. you rob someone you go to jail it wasn’t meant to be... you have unprotected Sex it wasn’t “god” or it was meant to be, it was science and logic. Everything happens because you made that choice to lead to that. But that’s just me .. don’t let me rain on your parade or faith.
