Very concerned that I may be pregnant, despite having a Skyla hormonal IUD. I've had the IUD for 2 years (normally removed at 3) and have never completely missed a period before. I've definitely had later periods, lighter flow, heavier flow, more cramping, less cramping, more back pain, less back pain - you name it. I know it's normal for some women to experience ammenorhea, but I haven't since starting oral contraceptives at over 6 years ago.

My doctor always brushes off when I bring up abnormalities in my cycle, so I'd appreciate any advice you all might have.

Could I be pregnant due to having frequent unprotected sex with my partner?

Is it possibly ectopic, seeing as I have an IUD?

Would an abnormal pregnancy show up on an at-home test?

What can I do to find out for sure?
