Nausea Meds?

Question

Sorry, first time mom here, when is it time to ask the doctor to prescribe nausea prescription drugs? Are you just supposed to take it and try not to take drugs lol. What are you moms taking besides Zofran ( heard it can cause birth defects?) I don’t even know if my doc will prescribe it without seeing me first? Please help thanks!

I tried diclegis, promethazine, and zofran. Zofran once in the second trimester is fine. Diclegis didn’t work, promethazine didn’t work either.

I personally found taking unisom before bed helped with my morning sickness. 
Also eat frequently. Like every couple hours. If you keep food in your belly then you are less likely to have terrible morning sickness.
