baby shoes?!

my LO has started taking steps!! I'm so excited to watch this growth, but I realized I need to get shoes now 😮 I've never put shoes on my babe and I am clueless on what to get for learning to walk. babe is 9 months, do they even make shoes for walking that small? can I just get soft bottom shoes like moccasins? I dont want to have shoes on all the time because I think it messes with the foot development and muscle growth. but I understand we need something to keep these sweet little feet safe

We stuck with Itty bitty baby shoes. If you have a hobby lobby near you, they have flat bottom canvas shoes that worked really well. When it is time to get shoes, you should look into Easy Kicks. It's a really great program for kids shoes. They carry Converse and Nike.

You dont need shoes at home, just when waking outside in public etc. we went w the leather soled moccasins that young. Softer the better. Bare feet is best though if you are home or in back yard etc.

I didn’t put shoes on my babies until they were really really realllly walking, my son didn’t start walking until 17-18 months!!! And he’s such a handful I would rather not let him walk because he’s into everything....:if we’re going somewhere that I know he won’t be walking like the grocery store I still bring him bare foot 😅 he will only rip them off so theres no point! I put his shoes on for the park or church or something like that, but that’s about it!! I held off buying them for soo long since their feet grow so fast, and I’m glad because I would not have used them much in that stage at all......I like to buy more expensive stride rights too because they are good for the foot development. I’m shopping for shoes right now too and other than stride rights the Nike Sunray protect have good reviews, the keen sandals and so do the native brand. seem easy to clean and slip on and off, multi functional which is what I go for 👍😁

You're right about foot development, so you don't need them all the time, but soft soled shoes are fine for outside.
Once he's more of a toddler and a little older, stride rite makes amazing shoes for toddlers, they are firm and flat, exactly the way kids feet are for awhile, no arches.

I found these cute soft soled baby shoes on Amazon. My son only just started wearing shoes because now he can stand on his own. At home, he never wears shoes.
