Low Thyroid?

My Dr just called me and said my thyroid is low and wants to start me on levothyroxine 25mcg daily. Anyone else?! Anyone have experience with this?

I’ve been on thyroid meds for almost 20yrs! That’s a very low dose :) no big deal!!

I am 7 weeks 2 days pregnant and have been on 125mg of levothyroxine for about 9 years!

That's my daily, non-pregnancy dose to help my Hashimoto's. I only experienced good things from being on the right dose: no more brain fog, more energy, inflammation went down, more energy, etc. And that was after the first full week on my dose. 
Give it a try, but monitor your body so you can find the right amount to help you.

I was started on 50 mcg about a month and a half ago and I’m waiting to see if I have to increase it due to the pregnancy. The baby can tax your thyroid more. I just had a blood test. 
I think my heart rate has increased a little with it. Other than that, no other symptoms from it. 
25 mcg is a low dose so either your thyroid isn’t too bad or they’re going to slowly increase your dose as needed. 
It’s best to take the medication because thyroid problems can cause miscarriages. I’ve had three MC’s but I only know the reason for one (unrelated to the thyroid).

My doctor actually won’t even treat my thyroid bc of the pregnancy... 😒 I thought this was standard until reading this. Hmmm.... 🧐
