I barely had my baby on the 19 and my nipples are so sore I can't even breastfeed him right any tips to help soreness 😭😂

I rode it out. The first few days were torture and my little one had a great latch. I used Lanolin nipple cream and allowed some breast milk to dry on them. They eventually got better.

The first two weeks were brutal for me and the pain tapered off after. Same great latch the whole time. It’s normal to feel pain at first, I used to cry when it was time to breastfeed, but watch the latch and if the pain doesn’t fade over time, it’s probably the latch or tongue/lip tie.

Get nipple shields to give your nipples a break while still breastfeeding. make sure you apply nipple cream after every feed. Get baby checked for lip and tongue ties. good luck!

Sounds like the latch isn’t good. Make sure baby is opening mouth as wide as possible and get as much as you boob as you can into baby mouth takes pressure off your nipples

I got a compound ointment from my obgyn. It is a lifesaver. The latch must not be right if you are in tons of pain. I have been seeing a lactation consultant to help me and I highly recommend it!
