Do you ever feel dirty after you have sex and guilty

I’ve never had sex because the thought it it makes me feel dirty and guilty so like it would be even worse if I actaully had sex. Like it’s weird how you can do that then just go to your family and friends and act if nothing happened?? I’m probs just weird

It’s not that weird actually-especially if you were raised religiously. Lots of religious people have trouble with intimacy years into marriage because of the guilt they’ve been taught to have, and to think sex is dirty and a sin. 
I’ve heard therapy can do wonders to help you through those feelings. I’ve read several inspiring stories of young women who have struggled through those emotions with the help of a therapist.

A lot of people feel that way because of the way they grew up. If you weren’t taught that sex is normal and natural, you might need to work through that as an adult. Another reason could be past sexual trauma. Sex therapy is a great option to help resolve those type of issues.

It’s cliche but that’s why you find someone that you love or really care about to do sex with.  if you’re feeling these insecurities in the act then it’s probably not the right situation. I promise you you won’t be thinking about your family or what they might be thinking about what you’re doing. you have to learn to let go and lose yourself in another person and put your trust in with them, but it’s OK it’s a good feeling and you’ll love it when it happens but definitely only if your ready for it

I have before, but am to the point that I realize that (consensual) sex is completely natural. I just feel good afterwards now.

I felt that way, it was caused by sexual abuse and sexual shaming. We get a lot of messages about being a slut if we enjoy sex too much or seek it, and that being pregnant at a young age is like a death sentence or show a flaw in your character/morale. Sometimes it doesn’t make any damn sense but people just project a lot of crap/anger/resentment/stereotypes:ideals that make us feel ashamed about sex and our bodies (feeling sexy) and those messages get deeply embedded and can come out throughout life.
Try to find the roots. When did you first feel ashamed of sex or being sexy? Did anyone ever make you feel bad about it or make fun of you? Sometimes if we can find where it started it’s like untangling a knot in our psyche. Look up about healing sexual shame. There are good resources out there.
