tanning bed while pregnant?

Doctors advise to not even use them period. Why they hell would you think it’s okay when pregnant? 🤦🏻‍♀️

Absolutely not! The UV Ray's will break down folic acid which is especially important during the first half of pregnancy..it can effect brain development; I'd rather look like a ghost

I mean there aren’t any studies showing it will hurt the baby... but I’m not a fan of tanning anyway so....

The dr tells you not to get your internal temperature above a certain degree when pregnant. And includes tanning beds

I tan, but I always stop when I’m pregnant. Not worth it.

Vitamin D is important so they can get out and get some real sun but tanning? And tanning when pregnant! Come on, how superficial can a person be

I don’t go tanning, but my doctor was sure to tell me all about this (she assumed I tanned because of my complexion) before actually asking me if I did (mom=white/Italian dad=Native American) that no doctor is ever going to tell you to go tanning because of obvious health reasons like skin cancer etc, but the main worry in an actual tanning bed while pregnant is the heat and overheating... and because of folic acid and all that needed only go for short amounts of time. But to each their own, I don’t condone it, but also not my body, not my kid=not my business
