When did you first hear the heartbeat?

I have an appointment at exactly 7 weeks and am hoping we will be able to hear the heartbeat with the Doppler?

a Doppler won't be able to pick it up so early. Ultrasound could.

Had my first ultrasound (trans vag) at 6w5d and discovered it’s twins! One of them we could see and hear the heart beat but the other was too far in my uterus to hear it but we could see the flicker.  So I guess being able to hear it might depend where the little bean snuggled into your uterus.

I picked week six but it was actually week 5 day 5. I had to see two doctors that day and both did transvaginal ultrasounds. The first doctor I could see and hear the heart beat. The second doctor we couldn't hear it but we could see it!

At my 9 week appointment my doctor could not find heartbeat with doppler, she did an ultrasound and found one. Wasn't until week 12 when the Doppler picked it up

No, normally they do an ultrasound at 8 weeks where you can see the heartbeat, but that’s still pretty early to hear it

Us can be heard earlier than Doppler. Won't pick up until 10-12 weeks depending on body type with Doppler
