Almost 4 weeks ago I had double jaw surgery (for medical, not cosmetic reasons). Pre-surgery, my face was probably a 7/10, and with makeup I could easily reach 9 on most days. Now, though, I feel like a 3... I’ve been waiting for the swelling to go down but it hasn’t really, and there’s a possibility it could be permanent. Pre-surgery, I had a heart-shaped face with prominent cheekbones and large eyes. Now I have what can only be described as chubby-looking, with squinty eyes and practically nonexistent cheekbones. The surgery was mandatory for medical reasons, but I’m pretty scared that I’m going to stay this way... I know that beauty is a silly thing to worry about but it’s really hurting my confidence.
