Warning this is ranty-

So I had blood drawn at 10 weeks for genetic testing. I’m AMA and my husband and I are folks who would make big decisions on continuing a pregnancy if there are genetic abnormalities.

Well 2 weeks later I find out that the Lab is 4 weeks backlogged!!!! This is a time sensitive test! Things are much different at 11 weeks than 14 or 15! I have baseline anxiety, but this is making it much worse. I’m tempted to call LabCorps and help them understand what they are putting me and others through.

Any one else in this wait, or have ideas of what to do?

—> Update: Well I have a message this morning that LabCorps canceled the lab due to “missing specimen”😡. So now I get to drop off a whole other sample. Good thing it’s my day off. But still really frustrating.

—> Update 2: So I called them today and so did my doctor. Apparently they do have my blood and will be running it now. Thanks to everyone who encouraged me to call. That is definitely what made the difference.
