Why is my period late? 
And I am not pregnant I’m 14 years old

yeah my period didn't come regularly for a couple years after I first got it. and the thing is if you've just started or stopped spending a lot of time with someone else who gets a period, synching cycles is actually a thing... a group of period-havers that hang out a lot will all synch up to whoever produces the most  estrogen. it's a pheromone thing that I'm not sure I get

Because you’re so young, it could be a number of things- but that doesn’t mean it’s bad! It’s could be:
- irregularity; you are 14 and your body is still figuring itself out. That, unfortunately, includes your period & hormones. Give yourself time for it to sort it out (maybe for a month or two)
- stress; many people believe that 14 year olds don’t have anything to worry about... wrong. Anything major in your life (school, friends, family, relationships, identity, etc.) can all affect the psyche. And since mind and body are carefully intertwined, this could be affecting your period. If you think it is, I suggest exercising (I prefer Yoga 🧘‍♀️), drawing, writing- really anything to help you regulate the stress!
- diet; again, you are only 14. So, because your body is still growing, any unhealthy eating habits (even drinking too much coffee or caffeine) can affect your period. Try cutting that down a bit and seeing how it goes for a month or two. Or it could be the opposite, eating too little or binge eating could also affect your menstrual cycle. If this is a concern, please see if you can meet up with a nutritionist! 
Now, if missing a period is a major concern for you and you haven’t had this problem before, you should ask your parent/guardian to schedule a doctors appointment for a little check up. You could also try the school nurse or call up a health care clinic (I used to call my local Planned Parenthood when I was a teen and ask a BUNCH of questions). 
Overall, I wouldn’t worry too much about it babe. You’re growing fast and your body is trying to keep up. Again, never be afraid to reach out for medical advice! Good luck 🌻

Don’t freak out hun! It can be so many things. :) if you have an OBGYN and you’re concerned you could always talk to your doctor!

It’s just may be your period being irregular nothing serious just needs time to become regular again
