My body was fighting itself during labor and I was stuck at 2 for over 12 hours despite pitocin being at max dose. I was in so much pain that I wasn’t able to relax enough for my cervix to open. I finally agreed to the epidural and labor progressed quickly. I went from 2 to pushing in about 6 hours.

Natural birth all the way. I gave birth at a birthing center all natural no interventions, induction, or medications.  I would do it again. I would never risk getting an epidural. I didn't even tear because the water helped me. During labor the pain wasn't that bad but I do have a high pain tolerance. My water broke about 14 hours before I had any contractions. I knew if I had a doctor or a hospital birth they would of induced me instead of waiting which would of made things worse.

Where's the, was induced so ended up with an epi (it worked well) and would prefer to go natural this time, but not opposed to getting it again if I need it.

I’ve never had one but my two kids were quick labors with pitocin. I’m scared beyond measure of that needle and potential for back problems. Worried it might not work. Don’t want a catheter. Wanna move around right after labor. There are many reasons for me to avoid one but I already said if my labor is super long this time I may get it. I’m trying to be open minded as I know many things can go another way when giving birth. Hoping for all natural this time!

I went natural and ended up with a super long labor and second degree tears.  I'd still do it again.  Throughout my labor I felt like it was me, my baby, my husband and God.  It was painful, but not an emergency.  It was intensely real.  Then after pushing her out I tore and had a minor hemorrhage and was suddenly on the bed with everyone working on me.  The natural birth didn't cause the hemorrhage, and I'm grateful for the nurses and doctor taking care of me once I needed them, but I would hate to turn that natural labor that went before into a confined to the bed session as well.

I had a natural water birth first time round. I have a super low pain threshold and was trying to prove a point to myself...I feel so lucky that I had a wonderful birth experience, and everything went as I planned. Unfortunately I then had a HORRENDOUS experience with stitches (second degree tear & a local anaesthetic that didn't work) which still gives me anxiety now (20m later). Our second child is due end of August and I will definitely 100% be having a spinal block if I need stitches...so I'm considering just getting an epidural and being done with it! Scared of losing control / slowing down labour / all the associated risks though.

Had a looong labor so I understand why you would want to get an epidural!! My midwife was recommending I get one because my labor was stalled at 4cm for 8 hours but I decided not to and I ended up progressing and having a normal delivery with no epidural. Honestly super glad I didn't get the epidural simply because of avoiding any risks for both me and my baby. :)

I got induced and really needed the epidural. 
This next time around I am hoping to go into labor naturally and hopefully not need one. Or at least hold out for as long as I can.

I was induced and got a Epidural, but mine stopped working after two hours and I still was at 3cm dilated... so I don’t think i would do it again 😔 🤷🏽‍♀️going to try to do water birth next time if possible 👍🏼

Epidural is awesome when you're in a lot of pain, I really want to go without one this time but if I can't handle the heat I'd definitely get another one
