Ok, this may be the weirdest question ever but I kinda need to know if I’m ever planning on having children... 
Is it sore to give birth? 
And how sore on a scale of 1-10? 
(Is it worse than period cramps?) 
(Only asking because in movies they make it look like torture and punishment...)

So it’s not like the movies (at least for me and every other woman I know who has given birth). It’s intense, but it’s also completely do-able! I lasted 48 hours (even with pitocin) without meds and plan to have a non medicated birth the next time. Of course some people want the drugs and that’s great, too, just putting it into perspective that it’s not torture.

If you really wanna know what it’s truly like you can watch different birthing videos but I only suggest watching if you’re already pregnant or reading what happens first. Not everyone’s experience is the same. Movies are super inaccurate

Imagine period cramps but like 100x worse while trying to push out a baby and possibly pooping at the same time. But the pain is worth it and they have all kinds of medicine now to help alleviate it. I had an epidural and I still felt some pain. I also had a high risk pregnancy but I would do it all over again for my son.
