I wanted a girl, with my 2nd child. I was so hurt that it was a boy but after seeing the pics of him growing. I fell in love and now he is my world

I've experienced it with all 3 pregnancies, with this current one being the hardest because it's my absolute last baby, and I'm constantly getting comments about how disappointed I must be to be having another boy. but with my first 2, any feeling of disappointment went away once they placed them in my arms. I'm sure it'll be the same with this one. it's not easy because you think about all the things you might be missing out on, but those thoughts will disappear, too.

I always thought and dreamed of having a girl. I was sad and in shock when I found out we were having a boy. Especially since we only plan on having one. I went through a few days of thinking about everything I would miss out on. But once he came (one month on Sunday) I can’t imagine my life without my boy. He’s so sweet! Can’t wait to do the rest of my life with my guys!

My SO was the one with gender disappointment. He desperately wanted a girl but we had a boy. He was off and on disappointed throughout my pregnancy but after he was born he was just so in love and continues to be.

Definitely happened to me. Found out at 16 weeks and was not pleased it was a boy. I really wanted a girl, I even felt like it was going to be. I literally wouldn’t look at boy stuff. I had the girl name ready and nursery ideas etc. but a few weeks later I began getting excited ☺️.

I just had my first and desperately wanted a boy, so of course I had a girl. When we found out at 20 weeks I was disappointed for maybe a half hour. Then after that I didn’t care. Sometimes between 20 weeks and the birth I would see a baby boy and get a little bit jealous, but now I couldn’t care less. She is my daughter and I love her so much. I’m not one but disappointed anymore.
