Any one else??

Question

My hubby is coming home from a 9 month deployment within the next couple weeks... did/does anyone else feel a bundle of emotions?? Also your spouses friends, (that didn’t deploy) how did you handle request for hanging out with him... sorry to say but I feel like locking him up in the bedroom naked and having my way with him whenever I want once he gets back!! I am pretty sure when he gets back they will be wanting to spend time with him.. and I want and probably going to be as stingy AF when he comes home... just sayin...

When hubby comes home from deployment I get the first 24 hours. After that family and friends are welcome to see him however he wants to arrange it, but that first 24 hours are mine. I remember being nervous, excited, anxious and worried silly that it wouldn't go well. The first hug is incredible. Then for about 2 weeks after I kept touching him because it didn't feel real that he was home. It was great.

Mine came home last August. What we did was tell ppl to give us two weeks before coming over to hang etc. we did see his parents and a few ppl but they had to come  to our house. We also had a deployment baby. She was 5 months old when he got home so it was more important to us that he adjust to her and that we adjusted to him being home

I feel you. When my fiancé came to visit from Korea after not seeing him for 9 months I told him the first 24 hours are mine then you can do whatever you want. I wanted to keep him away from friends, not family but friends. It ended up as he was ditching his friends because he wanted to stay locked in the bedroom 😂😂

Mind came home from a nine month deployment in February. And wow it was emotional to say the least. It’s almost unreal that it is them in real life because you are so used to staying up all night waiting for your phone to ring. Just enjoy every moment of it. The transition is tough for some couples/ families. For us it was perfect and easy, we do not have kids so it didn’t really change a routine that I had. I just welcomed my husband back into our daily lives. As far as friends my husband didn’t really want to go anywhere right away. The friends that he did see was because we were already going somewhere. Maybe have a welcome home party and get it all done at once if you want to hog him lol. Best of luck to you!!
