My boyfriend used to get on me about spending money cause I didn’t have a job, and was limited to $1000 every 3 months (college quarter with fafsa). I did a lot of shopping, and I admitted once I was broke for the 2nd time, I had a problem. He was just looking out for me, and seeing I was getting carried away and “money hungry” with what I had.

Now that I’ve got a job, I asked him his opinion on me spending when I get paid, and he said, “Go for it. You’re making $11.70 an hour, that’s more than I make. As long as you promise me you’ll put away some and save up for a car, I don’t care what you do with the rest. Treat yoself boo.”

I just wouldn’t feel right buying myself stuff again, cause it just feels wrong since my past with money isn’t good. I already feel so guilty about buying myself 3 skirts and a phone case 😔
