Full moon & labor???

Question

So I am being induced August 6. But a lot of people I have talked to told me they don’t think I’ll make it because this weekend (Friday) is a full moon. And that they think I’ll go into labor. I have literally never heard this? I’m sure it’s superstition but has anyone experience w this? I think it’s weird but I also had a dream I had her the 28th. Hoping she stays in till daddy gets home the 2/3rd!

I actually looked it up bc I was holding out hope that the full moon would send me into labor 😂 they say it’s not true the only thing that can possibly send women into labor is a change in barometric pressure due to a large storm. But I’m a nurse in a hospital and whenever there is a full moon things are crazy in the hospitals and we get tons of admission so... maybe. ?

I always heard it was the New Moon not the Full Moon, what I always heard was it brings new life.

It’s said that the gravitational pull of the moon can pull the water in your sac causing it to break. You could call it a superstition but my first was born the night of a full moon so I’m convinced. Hoping baby sis follows in his foot steps!

Just wanted to say that I’m also being induced on the 6th and I have had this same thought! I don’t have everything ready yet so he can stay cooking for another week as far as I’m concerned!! Good luck! 😁
