This is a poem I wrote earlier, as a way to keep my mind off the ever growing “what’s going on inside my body?” Feeling .

Are you ok, baby?

My doctors said you’re fine

But you’re not theirs, you’re mine

Are you ok, baby?

It’s been two weeks since we checked

My pregnancy is “normal” but it doesn’t feel like that

Are you ok, baby?

I worry so much

It’s all because I love you, and we can’t even touch

Are you ok, baby?

They tell me “don’t stress”

How can I ignore this growing feeling in my chest?

Are you ok, baby?

“This pregnancy isn’t like the last”

I tell my self over and over, hoping the worry will pass

Are you ok, baby?

Please keep growing

You meant so much to me, before the whole word was knowing

Are you ok, baby?

I cant lose another

I never got to meet your older sister or brother

Are you ok, baby?

I cant wait to push

to hold you to my chest and get that first look

Are you ok, baby?

Will you grow big and strong?

Or will I find out in a few weeks something was wrong all along?

“It’s fine, honey, don’t worry”

I cant ignore the worry, our last one was gone in a hurry

Are you ok, baby?

I love you so much

I know that one day soon, I’ll embrace you with my touch

Are you ok, baby?

I’m sorry if I stress

I know you feel what I feel, and it isn’t always the best

Are you ok, baby?

It’s me, your mom

I love you so much, I’ll see you soon, it won’t be long
